There is so much information and misinformation everywhere about this particular virus season, and a lot of us are becoming concerned.
Keeping your health is necessary, and this means being calm and managing your stress levels, as stress can easily weaken your immunity.
This post is in no way going to be an answer to any healing of ailments, but more of a post to guide you on staying healthy.
There are some wonderful essential oils that I use for immune support. The key here is to have a sort of simple daily plan so that things don't become overwhelming.
This is what my simple plan looks like:
* Wash hands. This sounds so simple but is so necessary to wash away germs. Do this frequently.
*Drink water. I enjoy mine with a slice of lemon (keeps it interesting )
* Incorporate healthy foods like veggies and fruits. Stay away from too much refined sugar.
*Try getting adequate hours of sleep. Maybe keep a sleep time for the family. With everyone in the house, it's easy to have late nights.
* Use essential oils everyday to help support you.
My favorite 5 essential oils for cold season are as follows (these oils have all been researched to help support immune during cold season)
Eucalyptus Globulus (Eucalyptus globulus) - not safe for young children
Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia)
Lemon (Citrus limon)
Sweet Orange (Citrus sinensis)
Thyme ct. linalool (Thymus vulgaris linalool)
Clove Bud (Syzygium aromaticum/Eugenia caryophyllata) not safe for very young children
Choose a few essential oils from the above and make a blend to diffuse. I love to add Frankincense (Boswellia carteri) as it is such a lovely relaxing and calming oil.
Making a blend for an inhaler is wonderful for personal use. It helps deliver the benefits of the oils straight to your respiratory system.
The citrus oils are also very uplifting and bring on a positive vibe!
Hope this helps, and everyone manages to stay healthy.
vender (Lavandula angustifoliais) one of the most versatile essential oils you can find in nature. This oil is distilled (mainly steam distillation) from the flowers that grow on lavender, which is an evergreen shrub that produces clusters of beautiful, scented flowers above green foliage. The fragrance is very relaxing and calming to the body and mind.
Lavender has been used for thousands of years for perfumery, bathing and cooking.
High-quality lavender oil has a sweet, floral, herbaceous, and slightly woody scent. lavender oil blends well with many other essential oils to create a synergy of blends.
Lavender oil benefits your body and mind in many ways:
For most people, using lavender oil is completely safe, however there is not enough scientific research done on lavender oil interactions with other medications, or for its use in pregnant women or nursing women, so there are certain situations where you will want to use caution.
The cold air tends to dry out most people's skin, and therefore our skin requires more care and attention. Some of the basics is to moisturize your skin from the outside and the inside...that means don't forget to drink your glasses of water.
A good way to moisturize your skin is to use SMB Organics lotion with essential oils or use your favorite essential oil with a carrier oil. Essential oils should always be diluted, and that's what the purpose of the carrier oil or lotion is.
Jojoba oil is a good carrier that I would recommend. It is technically not an oil but is a liquid wax. The fatty lipids in jojoba oil is the nearest to ours, and it also will not clog pores. About 7 - 10 drops of your favorite essential oil mixed into 1 oz of jojoba oil would be a good start. Remember that some oils are photosensitive. Lavender, sandalwood, geranium are a few good examples of essential oils.
It's finally up and running! It took forever to get this site up, but it surely was a nice learning curve. This blog will be updated with information on products and mainly their ingredients. From knowledge on essential oils to butters and other ingredients.
For now enjoy this holiday season and let's welcome another beautiful year!
I became interested in essential oils in 2007. After selling my UPS Store business of 13 years, I started to look into natural products.
